Alright, I have to admit that the Welcome and About Me sections were not written by me. The Welcome section was automatically written and was so good that I chose not to change it. As for the About Me Section, I wish I could say the same.

Back to the blog now that the Public Service Announcement is out of the way.
I decided to start this blog as a way to talk about card collecting while getting everyone involved in the discussion. Hence this becoming interactive.
My brush with card collecting took place in 1979 when I received some non-sports cards as a party favor. The next time took place in the Summer of 1980 with getting some Empire Strikes Back cards as part of a Burger King promotion. I first officially started collecting in 1982 with Topps Baseball Cards. I haven’t stopped collecting with the exception of not collecting from September 1989 to December 1990 (My mom made me an offer I had no choice but not to refuse). Let’s just say that I lost my sense of being an individual during that time. When I returned to collecting, I felt like I was myself again and haven’t stopped collecting since. I added Basketball, Football and Hockey to the collecting repertoire in the Summer of 1991.
Along the way, I built quite a card collection especially with a complete run of Topps Baseball Sets from 1979 through 2017. Then the health problems took place. I ended up in the hospital three different times from February to June 2018 with chest pain. I thought I was having a heart attack each time. I was relieved to find out that it wasn’t a heart attack. During that time, I had to sell of most of the card collection. It was very depressing. I was hardly working due to the heart issues and had to pay the bills. Since then the doctors said that this was caused by a left bundle branch and my Type A personality.
These days I’m in the process of rebuilding my collection. This blog will in part chronicle my journey to rebuilding my collection.
Happy Collecting!!!
